The River Rea is rich in history, archaeology and ecology.                A group at the source of the River Rea

Along the 8 miles of the River Rea Heritage Trail you will find many places of interest, with everything to discover from water voles to the remains of watermills.

When walking the River Rea you will discover 8 interpretation panels and 2 marker pyramids along the route.

You can download a copy of the accompanying leaflet from our home page, or pick one up from Birmingham libraries and country parks.

Most of the River Rea Heritage Trail route is shared with the Rea Valley Cycle Route , cyclists are asked to dismount if necessary.

The River Rea corridor is cared for by the Rea Valley Ranger.
